Deportivo Striker Lucas Perez Gives His Shirt To Confused Villarreal Fan

The striker failed to get on the scoresheet and threw his shirt into the crowd at full time but the fan didn't look like he wanted it.

Lucas Perez didn't trouble the scoresheet on Saturday but he did trouble one Villarreal fan by causing him extreme confusion by throwing his shirt into the crowd.

Former Arsenal flop Perez has fared better for Alavez, scoring eight goals in La Liga this season for the struggling side, but had a bad day at the office on Saturday.

Villarreal won the game 2-1, thanks to a late winner from Fernando Niño Bejarano, and Perez was clearly annoyed after the full time whistle. Marching down the tunnel the 31-year-old chucked his shirt into the crowd with annoyance but it landed with a Villarreal fan, who looked totally bemused.

Probably the highlight of the whole thing is watching the fans around him ask why he's got the shirt and the poor guy clearly has no idea.

Obviously in the end he's more than happy to fold it up and keep it, perhaps as a memento of the game his team won.

Perez had a brilliant season in 2015/16 for Deportiva la Coruna, scoring 17 goals in 36 games for the La Liga side, earning him a £17 million move to the Premier League with Arsenal.

Things didn't go well for the Spanish forward at the Emirates at all. He played just 11 games in the league, scoring just once, before moving back to Deportivo on loan.

Back in Spain he got in better form scoring eight in 35 in the league before moving to West Ham where things were similar from his first spell in England, scoring three in 15.

This season he has scored eight in 17 in a return to form which did include a run of scoring in seven games in-a-row, which broke an Alaves record.

However since that run he's scored just once in eight games and not been on the scoresheet since the end of November.

In that time the club have only managed two wins and currently sit in 14th place in the league table, although with seven points separating them from the relegation zone they should be fine.

Perez will want to improve his form, because right now his aim is so far off he can't even find one of his own fans.
