Cristiano Ronaldo Wants An Acting Career After He Quits Football

Cristiano Ronaldo Wants An Acting Career After He Quits Football

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he wants to turn his talents to acting once his football career has run its course.

At 34-years-old, and not far from his 35th birthday, Ronaldo shows no signs of slowing down or thinking about retirement from playing having already scored 10 goals in Serie A this season.

However with the end of his career closer than the beginning the Juventus forward has got his mind on what's next. Speaking at the Dubai International Sports Conference, via AS, he said, "Several years ago, the age of playing football was until 30 to 32, but now you find those who are 40 years old playing on the field.

"The moment my body is no longer responding in the right way on the field, then it would be the time to leave. I aspire to continue my studies after retiring from football.

"One of the things that I seek to challenge myself in, for example, is acting in a movie. I hope I live more than 50 years to learn new things and face different challenges and try to find solutions for them."

They'll be plenty quick to point out that Ronaldo's acting abilities have already been honed on the football pitch enough that acting is the perfect next step for the five time Ballon d'Or winner.

His ability to win a free kick and tears when said free kick flies over the wall have become almost as iconic a part of the former Real Madrid forward's game as the incredible number of goals he's scored.

The former Manchester United winger might not be as free scoring in Italy as he was in Spain but he's still scoring more than a goal every two games.

Speaking about his continued drive to succeed Ronaldo said, "The love of football is the main motive in achieving all the titles I ever won.

"There are no special miracles or secrets in my success story, or any other success story. Rather, it is a great dedication to what you do. At the age of 34, I still have that fitness through diligence and hard work to get titles."

With the kind of drive that Ronaldo has it wouldn't be that much of a surprise to see him end up with as many Oscar wins as Ballon d'Ors.

He'll certainly dive right into acting with enthusiasm.
