Chelsea's Kurt Zouma Reveals Who They Make Fun Of Because He's Too Good

"We make fun of him, but it’s because we love him!"

It's good to Kurt Zouma back on the pitch as he eases back into the Chelsea fold following his devastating knee injury 12-months ago. The French defender was forced to sit on the sidelines as his nation hosted the European Championships.

Antonio Conte's side will be bolstered by the return of Zouma who can not just ply his trade in the heart of the defence but also adopt a holding midfield position.

But he likely won't be needed there as a result of N'Golo Kante's scintillating outings. Chelsea drafted in the diminutive-Frenchman from Premier League champions Leicester City for £32 million in the summer.

And while the 25-year-old continues to churn out impressive performances, he's garnering plenty of acclaim from the footballing community to inside the Chelsea camp.

Including his fellow compatriot whose revealed that they take the piss out of him because he's that bloody good, pin-pointing his performance at Liverpool where he won a shitload of tackles.

"He won 14 of 16 tackles (against Liverpool), and the next-best in the game won three." He told L'Equipe via Metro.

The following day, during our video session, you could only see him. The guys said to him, 'You're doing it on purpose. Losing the ball so you can tackle and and win it back again.'

"We make fun of him, but it's because we love him, and that he impresses us. For me, he's been incredible in every game this season."

"Off the pitch, he's very simple, very timid, the others rarely hear his voice. He's not someone who'll come and talk, you have to go to him to hear his little voice. He's next to me in the dressing room, I often bother him, make fun of him a little bit. He makes me laugh so much."

"He's really funny. I like him a lot, and everyone loves him in the dressing room. When he scored against Manchester United, everyone was so happy for him and went to jump on him, pat him on the head."

"He's so timid, but so impressive on the pitch! He deserves everything he gets."

Seriously, who doesn't love Kante?!
