The introduction of retrospective action on simulation is music to the ears of football fans, and it's provoking reaction from the footballing community including Jamie Carragher.

The former Liverpool defender has taken a dig at United following the new ruling imposed by the FA for the start of next season.

This morning, the English governing body confirmed that they will take action against any players found guilty of simulation.

And once the news broke, 'Carra' was quick to claim it'll be more problems for Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.

The Sky Sports pundit quote Tweeted the confirmation of the news with the following message, "More problems for Man Utd next season."

Marcus Rashford was subject to intense criticism after his dive against Swansea City in the Premier League, as he went down with no contact to earn a penalty.

Swansea boss Paul Clement was raging with the youngster, claiming he had 'deceived' the referee.

As well as Carragher, Leicester City's Robert Huth also weighed in by giving his thoughts.

The statement, posted on the FA's official website, in full:

A new offence of 'Successful Deception of a Match Official' will be in force from the start of the 2017-18 season, after the regulation change was approved by The FA Council today [18 May] and following a period of consultation with stakeholders over the past few months.

Where there is clear and overwhelming evidence to suggest a match official has been deceived by an act of simulation, and as a direct result, the offending player's team has been awarded a penalty and/or an opposing player has been dismissed, The FA will be able to act retrospectively under its Fast Track system.

Good move, FA.
