Manchester City's 2-1 victory over Leicester City today was rife with noteworthy moments; Should David Silva's opening goal have stood? How funny was Riyad Mahrez's disallowed penalty? And how did Fernandinho stay on the pitch after elbowing Marc Albrighton into next week?
The Brazilian somehow escaped a red card for his assault on the Leicester City midfielder in the second half, which left Albrighton looking like he'd just gone 10 rounds with Anthony Joshua.

Bobbby Madley, despite noticing later in the match that Riyad Mahrez had actually struck the ball twice as he took his penalty, somehow failed to spot Fernandinho's MMA style battery of Albrighton's face. Unsurprisingly, the decision to allow the Brazilian midfielder to remain on the pitch did not go down too well with fans on social media.
