Mo Salah Didn't Celebrate James Milner Penalty After Argument

Mo Salah Didn't Celebrate James Milner Penalty After Argument

Mohamed Salah didn't celebrate James Milner's penalty against Cardiff City on Sunday with footage emerging or an argument the pair had before the team's designated taker stepped up.

Liverpool keep showing their mettle in the Premier League title race to almost surprising degrees. Everytime Jurgen Klopp's side are up in front of a big challenge they take it face on and normally come out on top.

Their biggest test in the title race with Manchester City was supposed to be against Chelsea and they dealt with the pressure pretty easily, coming out as 2-0 winners.

This weekend they faced another big question when they had to travel to Cardiff City. The Welsh side are right in a relegation fight and a win over rivals Brighton last week meant the Reds travelled their with the hosts tails up.

It was a nervy first half, with Roberto Firmino fluffing an easy chance, and the sides went into the break at 0-0.

Gini Wijnaldum opened the scoring around the hour mark but it took till the 81st minute for the points to be safe with James Milner slotting home a controversial penalty that Mo Salah won.

And it seems that after winning the penalty the Egyptian really wanted to take it which led to him not celebrating with his teammates:

And it led to a discussion amongst Liverpool fans as to whether Salah, who is currently battling Sergio Aguero for title of the league's top scorer, should have been allowed to take the penalty instead of designated taker Milner:

All that matters to Klopp and his team right now is they were able to secure the three points and put the pressure back on City.

Pep Guardiola's team have their game in hand on Wednesday night when they play Manchester United and they know a win at Old Trafford could be a huge step towards defending their title.

Liverpool fans won't mind if Salah doesn't score again all season if they can see their team lift the Premier League trophy for the first time ever.
