Jason Cundy Says Women Shouldn't Commentate Because Of Their Voices

Vicki Sparks is extremely well named considering the controversy her commentary sparked and now Jason Cundy has added to the discussion by suggesting women shouldn't commentate on football because of their 'high pitched' voices.

There's been a lot of debate during the World Cup about commentators, co-commentators and pundits. From discussion about Ally McCoist and Mark Lawrenson on the gantry to the likes of Slaven Bilic, Roy Keane and Phil Neville in the studios.

Out of all the debate though perhaps the most controversial discussion came when BBC had the first female commentator on television at a World Cup with Vicki Sparks talking through the Portugal v Morocco match last Wednesday.

Sparks' commentary was up for much debate around whether she was a good commentator or not with her receiving a mixed reaction on social media.

The topic of whether or not there should be women commentators on football was being discussed on Good Morning Britain, because of course it was, and former Chelsea player Jason Cundy caused controversy.

The talkSPORT presenter said he doesn't like women commentating because of their high voices:

It's taking all of my powers to not change the 'd' in this dudes name to a 't' that's all I'm saying.

Clearly this is absolute and utter tosh from the former Chelsea player, there's plenty of men whose voices are more annoying than women who are allowed to commentate on the football.

Never mind the fact that Sparks is clearly a talented commentator and has plenty of knowledge on football. Here's me thinking that high pitched noises would only be a problem for dogs, I wouldn't insult man's best friend by comparing them to Cundy.

For the talkSPORT presenter you know it's bad when Piers Morgan is talking down your controversial and ridiculous opinion.

Sparks is not the only woman on our screens during this World Cup with Jacqui Oatley expertly presenting some of ITV's coverage and Gabby Logan reporting for the BBC.

Alex Scott and Eni Aluko have also been on punditry in the studio for BBC and ITV respectively and they've often shown themselves to be better equipped to comment on the games than the men they've been working with.

Give me any of these women talking about football of Cunty any day...there I couldn't hold off any longer.
