Former Chelsea Striker Mateja Kezman Looks Completely Unrecognisable These Days

Several pictures of former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman have emerged online and he looks almost unrecognisable, nine years after playing his last professional game.

The 42-year-old spent time with PSV Eindhoven, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Fenerbahce during a fascinating, but splintered, career in football.

He decided to hang up his boots in 2011, aged 33, after a brief spell with Hong Kong First Division side South China.

After serving time as a director of football at Serbian side FK Vojvodina shortly after retirement, he is currently making moves in the world of football agency.

In fact, Kezman is an agent for in-demand Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who has been linked with a move to England on numerous occasions down the years.

Here are some recent snaps of the former Serbia international.

Kezman is probably best known for his below-par spell at Premier League side Chelsea.

He joined the club in 2004 after scoring 105 goals in 122 games for PSV Eindhoven and, during a time when Jose Mourinho was bringing in a huge amount of talent, there was a real excitement in the air when Kezman arrived in a £5.3 million deal.

The Serbian striker would struggle to find his feet in West London, however, and would only spend a single season at the club after scoring seven goals in 41 appearances.

Despite failing to light up the Premier League during a forgettable stint at Chelsea, Kezman still recalls his time with The Blues as the best of his career.

"Chelsea was the best thing in my career. That was the climax of my career, for sure," he told Sky Sports.

"Living and playing in London was something that I will never forget. I don't know if I made a mistake because I moved away so quickly. Maybe I do and maybe I don't regret it, but I always believe in my decisions.

"But the transfer to Chelsea made my dreams come true. That was the best thing that ever happened to me.

"Maybe I could achieve more and I could have been more successful at Stamford Bridge, but I don't regret anything."
