Details of clauses included in Neymar's lucrative contract at Paris Saint-Germain have been revealed and some of them are absolutely crazy.

When Neymar completed his transfer from Barcelona to PSG in August 2017, it changed the entire footballing landscape.

With a fee totalling $222 million, the Brazilian superstar is the most expensive player in world football and is expected to deliver PSG the Champions League during his stay in Paris.

However, European success has yet to come for the French side, but domestically they completed a treble in Neymar's debut season.

Despite this, Neymar's contract is one that has been widely discussed for the bizarre clauses that it contains.

Behaviour clauses are not uncommon in football.

In one specific example, Mario Balotelli had a £500,000 bonus included in his Liverpool contract as long as he behaved on and off the pitch.

In Balotelli's case, his temperament had been a prominent issue throughout his career so offering an incentive may have been seen as a shrewd move by some.

In contrast, some of Neymar's clauses are downright ridiculous.

Due to Ligue 1 having no kind of fining system, players are given bonuses based on their conduct.

According to Envoye Special, one category included is 'ethics bonuses',

Per 101greatgoals.com, Neymar will reportedly recieve a bonus of $375,000 per year for greeting PSG fans before and after games.

In addition to this, a clause is also included that Neymar will receive $2.5 million per year if he doesn't criticise management in public.

As you can imagine, Twitter cannot believe some of these clauses.

Former PSG manager Unai Emery has spoken out since leaving the club at the end of the season, specifically about the power Neymar holds at PSG.

Speaking to Goal.com in May, the now Arsenal manager said,

"In each club you must know what role you play and what role you assign to the rest of the group. My opinion is that at PSG the leader is called Neymar.

"Or more exactly, the leader will be called Neymar, because that is what he is becoming. Neymar came to PSG to be the leader, to live the necessary process to become the world's number one.

"This is a process that still needs a little bit of time to consolidate. In Manchester City, the chief is Pep (Guardiola). At PSG, the leader must be Neymar."

Judging by these clauses, the former Barcelona man is definitely high up in the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy.
