The net worth of Mumbai Indians' owner Mukesh Ambani has been revealed to be five times higher than that of Chelsea's Roman Abramovich.
That's according to a report by Reuters, which claims the Indian billionaire's net worth increased by 130% last year. This makes him the eleventh richest man in the world with a fortune of £62 billion.
This extraordinary figure also means Ambani is the richest owner of a sports club in the world, ahead of the likes of Abramovich, Arsenal's Stan Kroenke and Daniel Gilbert, the chief of basketball giants the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In addition to owning the Indian Premier League side, who have won championships in three of the last four seasons, Ambani also calls the shots at Reliance Industries Limited, one of the biggest companies in Indian, and resides in Antilia, a private residence in the billionaire's row of Mumbai.
The latter is graced with three helipads, a 50-seat theatre, a swimming pool and a temple.
Whilst he may not have Ambani's wealth, Roman Abramovich is still one of the richest men in the world, particularly in the world of sport.

He is joint-eighth in the list of the wealthiest owners of sport clubs on the planet, with his net worth estimated to be around $14.5 billion. The Russian is closely followed by the likes of David Tepper and Joseph Tsai, who control proceedings at the Carolina Panthers and Brooklyn Nets respectively.
There are only two other owners of football (or should we say soccer) clubs on the list. They are Kroenke, who first started investing in The Gunners in 2007, and Shahid Khan, who owns NFL titans the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham.
It's fair to say that Abramovich has reaped the most rewards from his investment out of this trio. Since taking over in June 2003, the 54 year old has seen the club win 17 trophies, including two Champions League and five Premier League titles.
