Every Liverpool Title-Winner Ranked From ‘Player Of The Year’ To ‘Mascot’

Who gets top spot out of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Jordan Henderson? And where is the mighty Divock Origi?

Liverpool have finally ended their 30-year league title wait - but not every player contributed equally to the amazing success of Jurgen Klopp's side.

SPORTbible has used TierMaker to rank every LFC footballer from 'player of the year' down to 'mascot' based on how important they've been to the Premier League triumph.

Jordan Henderson is awarded top spot, narrowly ahead of 'essential' players Sadio Mane, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and top scorer Mohamed Salah. All five have been outstanding.

Meanwhile error-prone Adrian, barely used Xherdan Shaqiri and newcomer Takumi Minamino are dumped in 'passenger' status, as Liverpool would almost certainly have won the league with other players in their place.

In the 'important' tier are the likes of Andy Robertson, Roberto Firmino and Alisson. All are vital for the Reds, but both outfield players did suffer minor dips in form, while keeper Alisson missed a chunk of the season.

Fabinho can probably be upset at only making it to 'contributed' status, especially after his dominant performance against Crystal Palace. But he missed games in mid-season with injury and looked briefly - and weirdly - terrible when he came back.

The full SPORTbible rankings are below (minimum five league appearances for inclusion).

Player of the Year: Jordan Henderson

Essential: Sadio Mane, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Mo Salah

Important: Andy Robertson, Roberto Firmino, Alisson, Joe Gomez

Contributed: Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joel Matip

Unimportant: Divock Origi, Naby Keita, Adam Lallana

Passenger: Adrian, Xherdan Shaqiri, Takumi Minamino

Mascot: Dejan Lovren

Sorry, Dejan. But you were the worst player on the pitch for Liverpool's only truly awful Premier League display so far this season (the 3-0 defeat at Watford).

Henderson missed that game, which shows exactly how massive he is in setting the mindset for his team. That quality edges the captain above his more talented teammates such as VVD, TAA, Mane and Salah for top spot.

At least in our eyes. Please let us know what you think in the comments!
