Sadio Mane Has Never Lost A Premier League Game At Anfield

Sadio Mane has never lost in the Premier League at Anfield in a run which has hit 51 games following Liverpool's victory over Newcastle United this afternoon.

Mane has been instrumental to Jurgen Klopp's side since his transfer from Southampton in 2016.

And his record at Anfield is rather remarkable.

Mane has recorded 41 victories playing in front of 'The Kop' as well as 10 draws.

Interestingly, one of those draws came whilst a Southampton player against his current side.

The game was memorable for Mane as he scored & was sent off for the Saints.

Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners this afternoon but were given a shock early on as Newcastle took the lead.

Jetro Willems' thunderbolt had Steve Bruce's side dreaming of a second shock win of the season.

Liverpool responded just over 20 minutes later as Mane bent a beauty past Martin Dubravka in the Newcastle net to level the score.

Mane scored his second of the game five minutes from half-time following a mistake from Dubravka.

The Slovakian international let the ball escape his grasp as Mane tapped into an open net to give him 18 goals for the calendar year, the most of anyone in the Premier League.

Mohamed Salah added a third following a sublime Roberto Firmino flick.

Mane's performance was a big talking point on Twitter.

Despite only having a 17 day break after the Africa Cup Of Nations, the 27-year-old has started the season in scintillating form.

Liverpool remain top of the table and are the only side in England with a 100% record this season.

Mane has been a huge factor behind that.
