Real Betis star Nabil Fekir has refused to rule out a move to Newcastle United, following the recent Saudi-led takeover of the club.
Estadio Deportivo quizzed the Frenchman about the prospect of a move to St James' Park, with this current contract at Betis due to expire in June 2023.
"I don't think about the offers. I am very happy here. I am learning every day and I hope it can continue like this. The fans love me, it gives me a lot of joy and I want to give it back to them on the pitch,"as quoted by Sport Witness.
"You never know in football, but the truth is that now I don't think about offers. I'm at Betis and I'm very happy here."
"It's normal that we start talking about an extension because I only have this year left, plus another one. Let's talk and we'll see."
Fekir currently has 2 goals and 2 assists in 10 appearances across all competitions for Betis - Manuel Pellegrini's men sit tenth in the La Liga table with 12 points from 8 games.
There has yet to be an official approach from Newcastle for the player, with Sport Witness reporting last week that there had only been enquiries from clubs in Russia and Qatar to date.
Fekir joined Betis from Lyon in July 2019, after scoring 69 goals in 193 appearances for the French club. Since arriving in Andalusia, he has made 14 appearances in 81 appearances for Betis.
Newcastle were linked with Fekir last summer, and the 28-year-old was reportedly close to joining Liverpool three years ago according to The Times.
