Fans Are Demanding Sky Sports Rerun Masters Football While The Premier League Is Suspended

A change of pace from Premier League Years...

Fans are demanding that Sky Sports show reruns of the legendary Masters Football while the current football season is suspended.

The current Premier League season has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak and it's taken a huge chunk out of Sky Sports' programming.

But the people have spoken and it's clear to see what they want to watch.

Once upon a time, Sky Sports would put together a six-a-side tournament that included all your favourite ex footballers [or in the case of Ally McCoist in 2000, a year before they retire] from Britain's top leagues that were over 35.

Games would be played on beautiful blue pitches across all types of arenas in the UK with the tagline 'The home of legends' which was absolutely true.

Superstars of yesteryear such as Ian Rush and Bryan Robson would make you think 'He could probably still do a job today you know' as they strutted their stuff across the country.

It officially came to an end in the format we all know and love in 2011 but it'd be perfect viewing while the current sporting world is at a standstill.

The tournament was a staple of Sky Sports for over a decade and it's safe to say it left a huge impact on many football fans.

Would you like to see Sky Sports rerun retro Masters League during the league suspension?
