The out-of-sorts champions are now winless in their last five games and have scored just one goal in those matches. The result - secured by Ashley Barnes' late penalty - means that Liverpool are six points behind league leaders Manchester United after 19 games.

You have to wonder whether Gary reached for a bottle of the bubbly once again on Thursday night, given such a dramatic turnaround in his club's fortunes.
