Neymar scored a stunning overhead kick in injury time to lift PSG to victory over Strasbourg after being abused by his own fans all game.

French fans chanted that the striker was a "son of a b**ch" and unfurled a banner saying that he should be sold as a prostitute at Parc des Princes.

But Neymar came to their rescue when he fired home a stunning overhead kick to guide PSG to a 1-0 win over Strasbourg.

The Brazilian forward volleyed in Abdou Diallo's cross from the left in the 92nd minute and celebrated his dramatic late winner in subdued fashion.

Neymar publicly admitted he wanted to leave the French club in the summer but a potential move to Barcelona or Real Madrid fell through.

He started for the first time this season against Strasbourg on Saturday and was given a hostile reception by his own supporters.

French supporters booed Neymar as he was announced on the stadium's loudspeaker before the game, and chanted that he was a "son of a b**ch".

PSG fans also unfurled a banner that told the Brazilian's dad 'sell your son in Vila Mimosa' - an area in Rio de Janeiro that's renowned for prostitution.

Neymar's future was the subject of much speculation all summer long, but in the end he stayed put in the French capital.

But is desire to leave the club didn't sit well with fans, and they let him know all about it on Saturday.

Neymar reportedly broke down in tears when he learned his move from Paris Saint-Germain to Barcelona fell through, according to El Chiringuito.

The report also claims Barcelona contacted their former player on Sunday to tell him they had done everything in their power to sign him.

When Neymar announced he was staying at the club, the Paris Saint-Germain dressing room teased him by saying "se queda" to him multiple times.

The Spanish phrase refers to Gerard Pique's Instagram post back in July 2017.

lThe Barcelona defender uploaded a picture of himself and Neymar accompanied with the words "Se queda" - translated as "He stays" - only for the player to complete a world record transfer to PSG.
