Footballers enjoy showing off new styles, as it can help their brand. But what Paulo Dybala has done to his hair is something else.

The attacker just got back from the World Cup, after Argentina were knocked out of the tournament in the Round of 16 to France, in a game which was a 4-3 thriller.

Now he has posted a picture of his hair dyed completely white on his Instagram page, accompanied by a Grandma emoji - and people are baffled as to why he did this. The 24-year-old is some years off going grey yet, so why he chose to turn his hair that colour voluntarily is strange.

It's anything to get his mind off the torrid World Cup his national side had endured. In their group games, they drew to Iceland 1-1, lost haplessly to Croatia, before overcoming Nigeria and then eventually getting knocked out by France. This ensued a national crisis almost, with their manager Jorge Sampaoli reportedly being stripped of power at one point during the competition.

Star player Lionel Messi was found to be giving the team talks and even - as was picked up by TV cameras - appeared to give instructions to his own coach.

Now the World Cup is over and players such as Dybala can focus on their club - and hair - again.

We're not sure how happy the attacker will be about the supposedly incoming Cristiano Ronaldo, however. Dybala is the star player for Juventus and a move for Ronaldo could - that's could - jeopardise a place in the starting line-up.

Either way, his new hair do is sure to get at least some of the attention on him.
