Manchester United legend Paul Scholes claims that Liverpool are already worrying about United for next season's title race. United are currently on a 17-game unbeaten streak spanning from January.

With Liverpool already claiming the 2019/20 Premier League title, many teams and pundits are already looking on to the start of next season.

With Liverpool convincingly winning the Premier League, they look to be the favourites for 2020/21. However, with Manchester City looking to bolster their defensive line with the links to Kalidou Koulibaly, Nathan Ake, and David Alaba, and with Manchester United looking like the 'old' United, the race is already on.

United legend Paul Scholes agreed with this, saying that Liverpool are already worrying about the potential run Manchester United can go on next season.

"Is it time for a couple of teams to start worrying about this team [Manchester United]?" Scholes wrote on Instagram. "I have a hunch they might be already."

Even though Liverpool walked the title this season with a current 23-point gap over second place Manchester City with four games left, Scholes is understandable in thinking United will be in the running too.

With Bruno Fernandes becoming only one of seven players in Premier League history to win back-to-back Player of the Month awards, Paul Pogba on the verge of signing a new contract, and Mason Greenwood becoming a phenomenon at only 18, United are becoming a powerhouse.

Manchester United have currently conceded the least amount of goals, and third in goals in 2020 in the Premier League (which includes the time before Bruno Fernandes signed), the Red Devils are becoming a title threat very fast.

The inevitable signing of Jadon Sancho will also turn United even more dangerous.

Even though Liverpool are currently 34 points ahead of Manchester United, they themselves were 25 points behind the champions in 2017/18. The start of a new season means a new beginning and if United keep up this form, they will definitely be in the hunt.
