West Ham Fan Wants David Moyes Replaced By Scott Parker For ‘Coming Nowhere Near Fourth’

West Ham Fan Wants David Moyes Replaced By Scott Parker For ‘Coming Nowhere Near Fourth’

“A Rodgers or a Parker would do us a lot better than what he’s done.”

An angry West Ham fan has insisted that David Moyes has achieved "nothing special" this season and should be replaced, as he claimed Scott Parker would do a better job.

After bringing in Moyes and surviving a relegation scrap last season, the Hammers found themselves in a surprise battle for the Champions League places this campaign.

The club now cannot make the top four but sit in sixth and can confirm Europa League qualification if they win or draw their final game of the season against Southampton. But Moyes' failure to cling to the top-four spot has seriously disappointed one West Ham supporter.

"Moyes has got manager of the year, but in the end, we've come nowhere near fourth," Hammers fan George told talkSPORT.

"In the end, we're going to finish sixth or seventh, which Burnley done a few years ago. It's nothing special."

West Ham are four points from the top four and have already matched their highest-ever Premier League points total of 62. However George's view is that with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all struggling, West Ham missed a golden chance.

Asked directly if he wanted Moyes gone before the start of 2021/22, the Hammers fan replied: "He's done OK this season, but a Rodgers or a Parker would do us a lot better than what he's done."

Brendan Rodgers has won the FA Cup with Leicester City this term but would be unlikely to leave the club for West Ham.

Scott Parker's Fulham, meanwhile, have impressed by their persistence in playing good football in what always looked to be a challenging season. But the club have also been relegated after earning just 28 points from 37 games.

If West Ham can take a point at home against Southampton - or if they lose but Tottenham and Everton fail to win - West Ham will attain their highest-ever Premier League finish of sixth this season.

But with fourth spot looking briefly attainable, it seems not everybody is delighted with the job Moyes has done this term.
