Pep Guardiola Trolls Time-Wasting Southampton Boss Hassenhuttl With Some Hilarious Sh*thousery

Pep Guardiola Trolls Time-Wasting Southampton Boss Hassenhuttl With Some Hilarious Sh*thousery

By Tom Sanders

Pep Guardiola has never been one to hide how he feels on the touchline, and during Saturday afternoon's clash against Southampton he let Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl know exactly how he felt about his side's time-wasting tactics.

With the Saints leading 1-0 in the second half, the Catalonian appeared to be frustrated with his Southampton counterpart for holding onto the ball for too long whilst his side searched for an equalizer.

As predicted, City poured forward with attack after attack as they battered the visiting side's defences, with Southampton doing everything they could to stem the tide of City's incredible attacking prowess- including more than a little bit of time-wasting.

At around the hour mark the ball went out of play for a throw-in, and was collected on the sideline by the Saints assistant manager Richard Kitzbichler, who held on to the ball for longer than he should have done before returning it to play.

To say this angered the City bench would be an understatement.

So after Sergio Aguero finally found the net for an equalizer in the 70th minute, and Kyle Walker followed it up for the winner shortly after, Pep Guardiola appeared to have the last laugh.

When the ball went out of the play in the dying minutes of the game, the City manager immediately pounced upon the stray ball, thrusting it into Kitzbichler's hands as quickly as he could manage, as if to sarcastically say 'You want the ball? Try time-wasting now'

It's sh*thousery at its finest and we love to see it.

Manchester City managed to hang on to their late lead, eventually beating the Saints 2-1 in their second victory over the relegation-battling side in under a week.

It was an important three points for the champions in the title race this season, as they do everything they can to keep pace with league leaders Liverpool, who also came from behind to snatch a last-minute victory during the afternoon's fixtures.

After the match, the Catalonian admitted he was "delighted" that his side managed to grab all three points to remain six points behind league leaders Liverpool.

"We played incredible from the first minute until the end," Pep said.

"We created an incredible amount of chances. We were pressured but we did it. We kept our cool and we were patient. We know we will always get chances, it was important that we stayed calm ahead.

"I told them at half-time to keep going for it, to keep attacking. It is the only way. There was no space, it was almost impossible but we did it and that is why I am delighted."
