England Fan Claims They Score Every Time His Seven-Year-Old Son Goes To The Toilet

An incredibly superstitious England fan has claimed Gareth Southgate's side score every time his son goes to the toilet during Euro 2020.

The Three Lions face Denmark in a huge semi-final clash on Wednesday and are dreaming of a first major tournament final since 1966.

Some fans have adopted strange quirks in an attempt to will England on to glory - but one fan called Paul has taken it to the max.

He told the BBC per Daily Star: "Me and my seven-year-old son Henry sit in the same seats on the sofa, wearing freshly cleaned England shirts for each game.

"In two games where he has gotten up to pee, we have scored so we now load him up with water and juice before kick-off. He's doing it for his country!''

Paul didn't explain which goals they were, with England running out 2-0 winners over Germany and 4-0 victors over Ukraine respectively in their last two.

Other fans have also chimed in with their superstitions and they range from simple to bizarre.

Barrie explained: "I cut my hair 5 mins before Ger-Eng. England won. I shaved my head 5 mins before UkrEng. England won.

"My eyebrows don't like where this superstition is taking me.''

While Vance said: "My daughters bought me an England shirt for an early Father's day gift. I only put it on as Harry Kane leads the team onto the pitch. When the game is over it back up on a hanger. Can't put it in the laundry yet or I might wash the luck out of it!!''

Johnny Howell, a 30-year-old gas engineer from Great Yarmouth, may have benefitted most from all this however - thanks to his unborn child.

A recent ultrasound scan picture saw his son hold up two fingers which the doctors took as a 'peace' sign.

But it soon 'dawned' on Johnny that the kid may have been predicting England's last-16 game against Germany, so he placed a £30 bet on them to win 2-0 at 12-1.

Goals from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane ensured Johnny was £330 richer.

"It is just incredible that my boy came up with the right result," Howell told The Sun.

"It's a shame that he didn't put up four fingers and a thumb to predict five goals."

Johnny's girlfriend, Alice, couldn't believe what she was seeing. She said: "The second goal came and I thought, 'Are you joking?' "
