Kyle Walker has responded brilliantly to the criticism aimed at Raheem Sterling by taking to social media.

His England teammate was attacked by certain sections of the British media for having a gun tattooed on his leg. It's just of a number of occasions where Sterling has been criticised, but this one has appeared to be the final straw for a number of people.

A newspaper - who are one among a number of outlets who have attacked the City attacker - said that the tattoo glamourised gun violence. Sterling, however, took to social media to explain that the gun is there to commemorate his father, who was murdered by a gun when his son was a child. The tattoo reminds Sterling that violence is never the answer, and never to pick up a weapon.

And now his Manchester City and England teammate Walker has responded brilliantly to the whole debacle, satirising the British media by taking to Instagram with a photo of him holding a huge camera, saying: "Smile for the camera...but make sure you cover up your tattoos lads."

The reaction, too, has been top class

The Man City right-back, too, seems to get just how ridiculous the whole Sterling-gun-tattoo saga is.

He and Sterling will be hoping to link up well on the flanks at this summer's World Cup in Russia

England face Panama, Tunisia and Belgium in their group. The feeling is that they should progress to the knockout stages, but may come undone against the Belgians, who have a wealth of talent in their squad, such as Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard.

How do you think England will do at the World Cup this summer?
