Ousmane Dembele Sprints Incredible 70 Yards In 5 Seconds For France Against Italy

Flash and Dembele is gone.

Ousmane Dembele can be seen breathlessly running up the entire pitch during France's 3-1 win over Italy.

Many were expecting great things from Dembele after his £126 million move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona last summer. But things didn't go to plan: an injury kept him out for the most part of last season, his talent only shining through towards the end of the 2017/18 season.

But now, there's reason to be excited about the 21-year-old. Just take a look at this stunning video.

In France's friendly match against Italy, he left the defence for dead, sprinting a whole 70 yards up the pitch in a matter of seconds, before destroying two Italian defenders in one slick move: cutting inside, putting the ball 3 yards in front of him, flooring the opposition.

His shot, however, left a lot to be desired, the ball clanking against the crossbar and going over from close range.

But what's even more brilliant is the fact that Dembele isn't even out of breath at the end of the lengthy run. Some lungs on that fella.

It's great to see the youngster come into his own. With Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi now into their thirties, we need someone new to take over the title of 'world's greatest' and deliver us jaw-dropping action week in, week out. Could he be that guy?

France are set to be a real force at this summer's World Cup. With Dembele in their ranks, anything is possible for Les Bleus.
