Arsenal manager Unai Emery has confused Gunner supporters with this latest piece of transfer activity, with fans trying to work out just why this player would be joining up with the side.

Emery is enjoying his first transfer window as Arsenal manager and has so far made some pretty sound additions to the side. But that's all hit a snag now, as this newest transfer has supporters absolutely baffled.

Desite having Bernd Leno, Petr Cech, David Ospina, Emiliano Martinez and even Matt Macey in the goalkeeping department, Emery has sounded out a sixth goalkeeper - Yann Sommer, the 29-year-old goalie at Borussia Monchengladbach, who also plays for Switzerland at international level.

Sommer is an impressive goalkeeper but still has three years remaining on his contract with the German outfit. A move for the veteran keeper would be a costly buy, even still, the reports are this:

We know that the Arsenal defence was more than shaky last season, but this is bordering on the overkill, surely.

Many have said that it could be as a replacement for Petr Cech, but surely that was Leno?

Either way, Arsenal fans are just as confused, taking to social media to ask just what an enough is going on.
