Twitter User Accuses Liverpool Of 'Doping' To Achieve Their Success

It's certainly a controversial claim to make.

A football fan on Twitter has created a thread which implies Liverpool are 'doping' to achieve their success.

Twitter user @messi1_ali has compiled a thread in which he questions how Liverpool have achieved their success.

The first tweet discusses a mineral drink the Liverpool squad drink following every game.

Back in 2018, German outlet Bild reported the 'secret potion' is vital to 'significantly enhancing their performance'.

It is worth mentioning the 'potion' has passed every drug test it has been subjected to and there's no reason to suspect it's illegal to use.

He also uses a chart from last season showing Liverpool had the highest number of sprints in the season.

Another graphic used shows Liverpool's 'direct speed' being much higher than closest challengers Manchester City.

An injury list is also compiled, showing the apparent 'little rotation' since last season.

However, Liverpool have dealt with numerous muscular injuries this season, including Alisson injuring his calf and Sadio Mane's recent hamstring issue.

There's no doubting 'The Reds' have become one of the world's best teams and the claims of 'doping' seem to be clutching at straws.

Liverpool return to Premier League action this evening when they take on West Ham United.
