Jurgen Klopp is reportedly gearing up to let six Liverpool players leave in the summer as he attempts to refresh his squad.

The Reds are currently 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League but manager Klopp has already identified who he deems surplus to requirements.

According to The Mirror, the six players who could be departing Anfield are Loris Karius, Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi.

Some of the players listed will come as no shock but the duo of Naby Keita and Divock Origi will likely surprise fans.

Keita joined Liverpool in 2018 from RB Leipzig and many expected him to become the star man in midfield.

However, injuries have ravaged the Guinean since his move and he's been limited to show what he can do.

Seasoned pros such as Georgino Wijnaldum and academy prospect Curtis Jones have begun to establish themselves in the side potentially leaving no room for the 25-year-old.

Origi has managed to establish himself as a cult hero among fans thanks to his heroics in last season's Champions League.

He signed a new contract in the summer but the 24-year-old has had to make do with cameos on the bench in the Premier League.

Xherdan Shaqiri is another forward who's found it hard to break in past Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Shaqiri enjoyed a bright start to his Liverpool career and his first season saw him score two against bitter rivals Manchester United.

The Swiss international has only featured in six Premier League games so far this season and has been out of the matchday squad since January.

Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren are the two defensive options set to depart and in the case of Clyne, he hasn't played in the league for Liverpool since 2018.

Lovren does feature more frequently but is firmly behind Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip in the pecking order.

The final player is Loris Karius who hasn't featured for the club since the fateful 2018 Champions League Final in Kiev.

Karius made a number of mistakes in a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid and he's not featured for the club since.

He's been on loan with Turkish outfit Besiktas since then but is poised for a return to Merseyside this summer despite the rumoured £7.25 million obligation to buy in the deal.

It's clear that he won't be dislodging Alisson Becker between the sticks.

Who do you think Liverpool will look to sell this summer?
