Juventus are planning an audacious double swoop for Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.

'The Old Lady' have long admired Guardiola and will The Sun have stated the Italians will do 'whatever it takes' to lure him to Turin.

Juventus have slipped behind Inter Milan in the Serie A title race and are reportedly unhappy with current boss Maurizio Sarri.

One big selling point could be the potential capture of Liverpool defender van Dijk as reported by the same publication.

The PFA Player of the Year has been in fine form again this year and Juve are reportedly willing to splash £150 million on the Dutchman.

A Juventus insider reportedly explained the club think van Dijk could seek a 'new challenge' next season.

"After winning a bagful of trophies with Liverpool, Juventus think he may be ready for a new challenge at the end of the season - especially as he's been playing in the UK for a few years.

"And the club are actively planning to make a huge bid for him in the summer."

Liverpool have conceded 15 goals in 25 Premier League games this season and the Dutchman has played a vital role.

Van Dijk is also an international teammate of young Juve defender Matthijs de Ligt who signed from Ajax last summer.

Despite their chasing of Guardiola, the Spaniard has insisted he wants to see out his City contract which expires in 2021.

The 49-year-old said back in December: "I think in football one-and-a-half years is a lot of time for a manager.

"We'll have to see altogether how it works, what is going on. I've said many times how incredibly good it is for me here and of course I would like to stay as much as possible.

"So that is my desire, but I want to be sure this is the best for the club, that they want me to stay longer.

"It would be five years at one club and in this competition that is many, many years, so that's why it's better to be sure your decision is perfect for both sides.

"There's no rush. It's not finishing in three or four months and the club is working perfectly in all departments, so it's not a problem, honestly."

Do you think either man will end up at the Allianz Stadium next season?
