Borussia Dortmund Offer Jadon Sancho New Contract To Fend Off Interest From Manchester United

Borussia Dortmund are set to offer Jadon Sancho a new contract to stop him joining Manchester United this summer.
The 20-year-old is the Red Devils' top transfer target and the clubs have been in negotiations for a number of weeks.
Dortmund set a date of August 10 for an agreement to be reached and Sancho has since reported for pre-season training with the German side.
BILD per The Mirror have now reported the club will offer Sancho a contract extension with a pay rise to keep hold of him until after next summer's European Championships.

His salary is set to be increased from £5.4 million per year to £9 million per year to make him one of the club's highest earners.
A new deal has been in the works for some time, but the coronavirus pandemic forced Dortmund to put the move on hold.
Sancho has also explained that he will not attempt to force a transfer despite being interested in leaving Signal Iduna Park.
It would be a bitter blow to United if Sancho chose to re-sign after a drawn out transfer saga.
Jadon Sancho is now with the team - as normal for a Borussia Dortmund player. BVB and Manchester United in talks by two weeks but still no agreement reached. Personal terms have never been a problem. It's still up to the clubs. :red_circle: #BVB #MUFC #transfers https://t.co/0fgYyLWPnS

Dortmund have refused to budge on their £105 million valuation of Sancho after a stunning season in the Bundesliga.
He scored 17 goals and provided 17 assists as Lucien Favre's side finished second in the league.
United think paying such a huge fee is 'unrealistic' in the current climate, given Sancho was snapped up from Manchester City for £7 million three years ago.
Dortmund director Michael Zorc has remained firm on his stance that Sancho will not be leaving this summer.
"I think it would even stand up to being one of the largest in the industry if you look at its age," he told Goal.

"I would be happy if he would still play with us this season. And that's the current state of affairs.
"First of all we have to stick to the facts - and they are so, that we still have a contract with him until 2022."
