How Real Madrid Are Attempting To 'Erase' Gareth Bale From The Club This Summer

Bale's seven year stay in the Spanish capital is surely coming to an end.

Real Madrid are currently in the middle of 'erasing' Gareth Bale from the club and it seems incredibly harsh.

Bale is past the point of no return with 'Los Blancos' and both parties are desperate to move on.

The Welshman is currently on £600,000-a-week so finding a suitor will be hard this summer.

But Marca have reported the Spanish giants are happy to phase him out of the club when it comes to advertising, and they've already started to do so.

In the official club shop, every member of the first team squad has their shirt on display - except for Bale.

The shirts on display will jump from number 10 (Luka Modric) to number 12 (Marcelo), with no reference of Bale's number 11 shirt.

If any fan wants to buy a shirt with Bale's name on the back, they are taken from a drawer behind the counter.

Bale hasn't been featured on any promotional material for Madrid's kits ahead of the upcoming season.

Finally, the former Tottenham Hotspur man will not be training at Valdebebas ahead of the new season.

Footage has been released of players like Eden Hazard working on their fitness ahead of Sunday's clash with Real Sociedad, but there is no sign of Bale.

No buyer has come in for him this summer and his contract doesn't expire until 2022.

It means Bale could end up sat on the sidelines for up to two years, as he is refusing to 'make things simple.'

Manchester United are reportedly interested in a loan move if they are unsuccessful in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho.

A shock return to Spurs has also been mooted in recent days.

When asked if he would fancy coming back to the Premier League, Bale told Sky Sports: "It's one of those situations if those options arise it's something I would look at, for sure. We'll see what happens.

"We have plenty of time in this transfer window and I guess a couple of others as well. Time will tell.

"It's not really in my hands, the decision is in Real Madrid's hands. They make things very difficult to be honest."
