According to Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, United want to bring in two Midfielders and one Striker in the January window.
Two of those players are supposedly Erling Haaland of RB Salzburg, and James Maddison of Leicester City. Christian Eriksen has also been included in the list of potential players.
Erling Haaland has previously worked with Solskjaer at Molde when Solskjaer bought Haaland and spent two years together at the Norwegian team.

The Norwegian Striker has scored 28 goals in 22 games for RB Salzburg, while also making seven assists for the Austrian team.
Maddison has been a shining figure at Leciester. Now in his second Season at the Foxes, Maddison recently made his first England appearance and created the second-most chances in the Premier League last season, only behind Eden Hazard.
Manchester United has been lacking Midfield and Striker depth this Season with 18-year-old Mason Greenwood being called upon often for the Red Devils.
