Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has reacted to the news that former manager Mauricio Pochettino has been appointed at PSG.

The England international was a regular under Pochettino at Spurs, but has since fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho and has been linked with a departure from north London.

One possibility that has been mooted is the 24-year-old enjoying a reunion with the coach who brought him to prominence, and that is now more possible than ever with the arrival of Pochettino in Ligue 1.

Alli may have stoked those rumours by liking a post by BT Sport on the arrival of Pochettino at Parc des Princes.

Alli has made nine appearances for Spurs in all competitions this season, over half of which have been from the bench.

The former MK Dons man has picked up a goal and an assist in that time, but it seems unlikely that he will win over Mourinho with his performances.

After Tottenham's recent 3-1 victory over Stoke City in the Carabao Cup, the coach told the press that he was unhappy with his player for his role in the Potters' goal.

"They caught us on the counter attack so, yes, I was upset," Mourinho told Sky Sports. "A player that plays in that position has to be a player that links and creates, not one that creates problems for his team on the counter attack.

"In that situation, when they were able to counter attack behind our defence, we were unbalanced. Our full-backs were wide and one midfielder was also out of position."
