Liverpool fans are incredibly excited by Ibrahima Konate's individual highlights - following the news of a potential transfer this summer.

It was revealed on Monday morning that the Reds have made contact with Konate regarding a move.

The Athletic have said a deal is currently being finalised and talks with the 21-year-old are at an advanced stage.

Konate's release clause is believed to be around £34 million and a host of top clubs are said to be interested.

But just what will Liverpool be getting? CFComps has put together some of his best bits and Liverpool fans have every right to be excited.


Konate played two games in the Champions League last season as Leipzig made it to the semi-finals.

He also enjoyed a standout performance against Manchester United back in December, as Leipzig ran out 3-2 winners.

Armed with a wicked pass as well as breathtaking pace, he has all the potential in the world to be Virgil van Dijk's perfect partner.

He is yet to make a senior debut for France but is a crown jewel in their talented Under-21s side.

Liverpool's season has been rocked by injuries in defence and they've slipped to sixth in the Premier League table.

Last season's champions have seen van Dijk and Joe Gomez go down with long term injuries, as well as Joel Matip.

January brought the arrivals of Ozan Kabak on loan from Schalke and Ben Davies on a permanent deal from Preston respectively.

A deal for Konate could impact the future of Kabak, with Liverpool needing to make a decision over an £18 million buy option.
