Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rejoined AC Milan after leaving MLS side LA Galaxy.

Milan posted two cryptic videos on Twitter which confirms the 38-year-old's San Siro return.

AC went on to release a club statement which read:

"The Club and the striker have agreed on a deal until the end of the current season with an option to extend the contract for the next one.

"The deal is subject to medical and all regulatory processes. Ibrahimovic will be in Milan on January 2, 2020 to take his medical and he will then join his teammates for his first training session.

"As soon as the deal is official, a press conference will be set and aired live both on 'Milan TV' and the Club's Official App."

Zlatan also commented on the transfer, stating:

"I'm coming back to a Club I hugely respect and to the city of Milan I love. I'll fight together with my teammates to change the course of this season. I will do everything to make it happen".

He'll also be wearing the number 11 shirt, which he wore during his first stint.

It'll be his fourth spell in Italy after also playing for Juventus and AC's biggest rivals Inter.

It'll be Ibrahimovic's second stint at AC Milan after a successful two years at the start of the decade.

The 38-year-old helped guide the Rossoneri to Serie A glory in 2011 before departing for PSG the following year.

Although he's used to challenging for the top trophies, he'll have a job on his hands to get the Italians back to their best.

They currently languish in 11th in the Serie A table and are already on their second manager of the season.

Their latest humiliation came at the hands of Atalanta who demolished Milan 5-0 last weekend.
