Barcelona Want To Sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang On Loan From Arsenal
Barcelona are interested in signing Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan following Luis Suarez's injury.
Aubameyang is in the final 18 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and is yet to sign a new deal.
Per Goal, the La Liga leaders are now viewing the Gabon striker as a genuine possibility to sign in the January transfer window.
Barcelona's hierarchy and new manager Quique Setien met on Monday and all agreed a new striker is needed after Suarez being ruled out for up to four months.
The Nou Camp outfit are interested in taking the 30-year-old on loan until the end of this season before making a move for Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.
Gunners fans haven't responded well to the reports of their star man potentially leaving.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta will likely be furious at the claims and he won't want to lose his captain on loan.
Furthermore, the Spaniard discussed Aubameyang last week and said he doesn't want the former Borrusia Dortmund man to leave North London.
"I was very pleased to read those comments," the Gunners boss said on seeing his captain state that he remains "100 per cent here".
"He knows exactly what I think about him and obviously he's a massive player for us. But at the moment we're in the middle of the season and we haven't discussed anything further on that at the club."
"My intention is to keep Auba obviously because I know that if we keep Auba with us, we're going to be stronger and closer to winning football matches. That's the only thing."
Arsenal are currently 10th in the Premier League table and take on Chelsea in the Premier League tonight.
Aubameyang is currently serving part of a three match ban following a red card against Crystal Palace on Saturday January 11.
