The Spaniard is thought to be on the radar of several clubs after making his international debut this week.

Gavi's debut for Spain on Wednesday evening caught the eye of everybody watching - including, it seems, scouts from Manchester United and Liverpool.

The 17-year-old was a standout for La Roja during their 2-1 win over Euro 2020 champions Italy, but if reports are to be believed, the prodigiously talented midfielder could soon be playing his club football in the Premier League.

Gavi is a product of Barcelona's infamous La Masia academy, having made the step up to Ronald Koeman's first team this season.

After making seven appearances for the Catalan giants, he has already stood out for his composure on the ball and ability to pick a pass.

However, in light of the club's recent financial woes, there's every chance that he won't be playing in La Liga for very long, as there is already plenty of interest in the player from abroad.

According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, both Liverpool and Manchester United could be tempted to make a move for the youngster on account of his release clause.

Currently set at €50 million, it may also entice PSG into making a swoop following the French side's acquisition of Barca legend Lionel Messi earlier this summer.

Nevertheless, El Nacional also reports that the Copa Del Rey holders are determined to keep hold of their special young talent, primarily by offering him a new deal.

The paper claims that Gavi "wants to succeed" in Catalonia, but with Liverpool and United both viewing the player's release clause as "acceptable", his future may lie elsewhere.

The Spaniard's debut last night was the biggest story to emerge from the away side's big victory, even overshadowing Ferran Torres' brace.

Up against the likes of Marco Verratti and Ballon d'Or hopeful Jorginho, Gavi more than held his own, as you can see in the video below.
