The Top 50 Greatest All-Time FIFA Songs Have Been Ranked

From Gorillaz to Skepta via plenty of Kasabian...

The greatest all-time FIFA songs from the 1990s to the present day have been ranked as one glorious soundtrack.

These are the anthems that have wormed their way into your ears and brain between FIFA games - and football magazine FourFourTwo have ranked the best 100 bangers. The top 50 is below and there's some incredibly memorable tunes.

Spoiler alert, but first place on the countdown is a FIFA classic that came out a full 25 years before it actually appeared in a game: The Stone Roses' hypnotic epic Fools Gold, which made its first-team debut in FIFA 2004.

Gorillaz take second spot with that undoubted classic 19-2000 (Soulchild Remix), a FIFA song so embedded in our minds we imagine we're holding a controller as soon as it starts.

Damon Albarn is clearly 'Mr FIFA' as Blur also take a top-five spot with Song 2 - which first appeared way back in 1998 and set the trend for indie songs with massive, catchy choruses dominating FIFA screen-time in the noughties.

Kasabian, however, are the true kings of FIFA, with three songs in FourFourTwo's top 50 alone.

Of course, it's not all guitar and indie/pop music. There's plenty of hip-hop (Stormzy makes the top 10), DJs and big dance numbers. Though naturally you're not going to please everyone with the placings.

For us, Avicii's The Nights is a bit too low in 25th spot for the definitive song from FIFA 15.

But there's no overall disputing the range and quality on show in the selection. The top 50 is below - starting with what might well be the ultimate Ultimate Team anthem.
