The Premier League's Best Away Fans Have Been Ranked

A fan survey has revealed that Newcastle United have been voted as having the best away fans in the Premier League.

The survey was compiled on survery-maker.com and 'The Magpies' are far ahead in the rankings with over 2000 votes.

Manchester United are in second place with 1476 votes while bitter rivals Liverpool are in third.

Midlands duo Aston Villa and Wolves round off the top five, with Bournemouth being rock bottom with 69 votes.

It's interesting to see the top ten only features half of the typical 'big six' sides as well as only three teams from London.

The survey also contradicts a recently created Tiermaker which proved to be controversial.

Twitter user @CarloMagnifico sparked quite the online debate back in October after posting a TierMaker ranking away support from 'Elite' to 'S**t.'

Manchester United and Championship side Leeds United are the only two to make it into the 'Elite' category.

Newcastle also find themselves in the 'Average' category despite winning this recent poll at a canter.

Twitter user Damian Pearce said: "The fact that you actually have Newcastle as average shows how much yous hate us and its embarassing [sic]!!! Newcastle, Sunderland, Leeds and Liverpool easily on numbers and noise are the best fans going Id even chuck Sheff Wed in there too."

While Gunners fan Samuel tweeted: "Arsenal literally has the best away fans lmao."

Aston Villa fan Dean angrily argued: "We literally sell out every away game even when we were in the championship but ok. UTV."
