GiveMeSport have created the ultimate ranking of every side to win Europe's top prize and the highest ranking belongs to Pep Guardiola's Barcelona.

Both of their Champions League winning sides under Guardiola from 2009 and 2011 make it into the 'simply legendary' category.

It's nice to look back at some teams who perhaps didn't get the credit they deserved in their pomp, such as Real Madrid in the mid 2010s.

But there are a number of huge calls made in this list.

Most notably, the inclusion of United's Treble-winning side so far down the list.

While it is true they were dominated in that Champions League final against Bayern Munich, their comeback was nothing short of sensational.

Everyone knows the iconic "...and Solskjaer has won it!" line from commentary and it's fair to say it's one of the most memorable finals in history.

In the 'rode their luck' category comes two Premier League sides in the form of Liverpool and Chelsea.

The two sides in question are the famous 'Istanbul' Liverpool team and Chelsea's 2011/2012 side respectively.

Liverpool came from three goals down against AC Milan to take the game to a penalty shootout, which they then won to complete one of football's greatest comebacks.

Chelsea, meanwhile, defeated Bayern Munich on penalties in their own stadium to snatch the trophy away from the Germans.

Both sides failed to finish in the Premier League's top four that season but it didn't stop them achieving European glory.
