Mathias Pogba has been rejected by third division German side Uerdingen for being too heavy.

The brother of previous world-record transfer fee holder Paul Pogba has played for such clubs as Crewe Alexandria, Wrexham, Crawley Town, and most recently, for Sparta Rotterdam.

But, according to reports, he was rejected from Uerdingen.

"He's been and gone. Mathias couldn't help the team, he is currently not in good physical shape," Uerdingen coach Stefan Kraemer told German publication Bild.

"Mathias has a good build for a 'Nine' (attacking midfielder) and is tall, but he is carrying too many kilos."

The club who rejected the player were only promoted to the German third tier and have won three games in four matches already this season.

The 27-year-old is a forward but stands a huge 6'4, meaning that he's a brilliant target man.

As for his brother, Paul, there has been rumours that he could well be on the way out the door at Manchester United, owing to differences between himself and Jose Mourinho.

The former Chelsea boss is known for his hard-hitting personal and sometimes this means that there is friction between himself and the players he manages.

However, for Man United's last game, there appears to have been a huge change. Things look as though they have been repaired between the two.
