Zinedine Zidane unexpectedly quit his job as Real Madrid manager on Thursday, saying it was just the right time to move on, but new information has come to light suggesting that he quit because he was 'fed up' with the players at the club.
The Frenchman enjoyed unprecedented success at Real Madrid, winning three Champions League trophies consecutively, but he surprised everyone by announcing he is leaving Los Blancos, as the club needs a 'different voice.'
But Spanish outlet Sport are reporting that he left because had grown frustrated with the players at Real. No surprise there, really,

They say in their piece: "Zidane leaves Madrid for the same reasons that [Pep] Guardiola left Barcelona in 2012[...] Zidane resigns because, like Guardiola, he is fed up with the players and the environment.
"And as he is very smart, like Pep, he leaves the club before the crisis of results begins. Zidane, like Guardiola, knows that he can no longer lead with an iron hand."
Real has a dressing room full of big egos and big characters and it takes a big personality to sail the ship in the correct direction. Zidane did brilliantly at doing this for a time, but it seems as though it's all caught up with him, the former Juventus and Real player growing tired of certain members of the squad.

Rumours of star players Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale wanting a move away from Real have flown round the media for the past week, Ronaldo not helping matters by speaking cryptically to the press after the win in Kiev.
Bale is in search of game time elsewhere, but news of Zidane's departure may persuade him to stay and hope to achieve better things under a new manager.
