Manchester United fans will remember the holy trinity of strike forces they once had with Carlos Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney. Unlike Rooney, though, Tevez had the fortune to play alongside Ronaldo for club and Lionel Messi for Argentina.
The former Manchester City forward has come out to speak about both of the five-time Ballon d'Or winners, revealing one major factor that separated the two apart when it came to training.
"Messi, I never saw him in the gym," Tevez said (via GiveMeSport).
"I've never seen him train on the weights or do technical exercises.
"It is all natural to him, but on penalties, he trained: first he did not take them but now he shoots them all at the corner."
You might not be surprised to hear that a massive workout isn't a top priority for the Argentine magician. Not that he needs it, of course, especially when he could skill his way past almost any player on the planet.
Ronaldo, on the other hand, took a completely different route when it came to training.
"Cristiano always stopped in the gym after training: for him, it is an obsession and being the best in everything he always arrived at work," he said.
"When the training was set for 9 in the morning, I arrived at 8 and he was already there and even if I arrived at 7.30 he was already there.
"I came to ask myself, "How can I get rid of this guy?" So, one day I arrived at 6 but also that time he was already there. Sleepy, but [he] was there."
It's not hard to believe Tevez's story. Even at the age of 33, the Portuguese forward isn't shy to flaunt his physical fitness.
