A stunning compilation of Jack Grealish's individual highlights for Aston Villa vs Liverpool proves he is in the form of his life right now.

Villa destroyed the Premier League champions 7-2 on Sunday in one of English football's greatest ever upsets.

Ollie Watkins stole the headlines with a perfect hat-trick in the first half, but the real architect of Villa's display was captain Grealish.

The 25-year-old produced three assists and managed to get on the score sheet twice in the second half.

Being involved in five goals against one of the best teams in the world isn't a bad way to spend your evening.

Grealish created five chances for his side while winning five out of six duels on the ball.

Operating mainly on the left, he tormented Trent Alexander-Arnold and fans were in awe at his performance.

Grealish had been linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this summer after helping his side avoid relegation last season.

But the boyhood Villa fan signed a new deal with the club until 2025 last month to end all speculation of a move.

Manager Dean Smith beamed with delight at his team's performance after the full-time whistle.

"It has to rank at the top to get a performance and a result like that against an exceptional team," Smith said per Daily Mail.

"It takes something special. It was a special performance from the players tonight.

"I'm extremely proud. We executed the game plan to perfection. It wasn't just the game plan but the work rate, work ethic.

"If you get outworked by Liverpool you get beat. They're an exceptional pressing team. Very, very proud of every single one of them."
