Thiago's 17 Minute Cameo For Liverpool Vs Newcastle Showed Just How Good He Is

Highlights of Thiago's 17 minute cameo during Newcastle United 0-0 Liverpool have emerged and it shows just how big of a miss he was.
Thiago hadn't featured for the Reds since suffering a knee injury in the 2-2 draw with Everton on October 17.
But he finally returned at St James' Park this evening and replaced James Milner in the 73rd minute.
What followed were a slew of quality passes and incredible touches that no other Liverpool midfielder can perform.

Liverpool didn't manage to find a winner while the Spaniard was on the pitch, but it wasn't down to a lack of effort.
Fans have reacted to the video and they're very happy to see the 29-year-old back.
Thiago stays fit we win the league.

:bar_chart: ' Thiago vs Newcastle:
91.3% passing accuracy
2 clearances
1 interception
6/6 long balls completed
5/5 aerial duels won
1/1 ground duels won
17 minutes. If only he started the game. Truly a midfield maestro. pic.twitter.com/cCbKb9wUNF

Thiago playing for 15 minutes and literally our best outfield player hahaha joke

Thiago's ability to break lines is ridiculous. He does it for fun. 91.2% overall passing, 100% long passes completed. Also won 100% of his duels (1/1 ground, 5/5 aerial).
He showed in 17 minutes why he's desperately needed in Klopp's midfield: Creativity deluxe.

I never want to hear anyone call players like Gini and Henderson world class ever again. They're nowhere near. Thiago came on and showed them what a world class midfielder looks like

The injection of class provided by Thiago has been ridiculous here.

The draw means Liverpool have now failed to beat four of the bottom six this season, with this being their sixth draw in the league overall.
Manager Jurgen Klopp was left furious on the sidelines after seeing Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino miss glorious chances.
Karl Darlow was in top form between the sticks for the Magpies, producing a number of saves.
Liverpool remain top of the league but are just three points ahead of second placed Manchester United, who host Aston Villa on New Year's Day.
