Riyad Mahrez turned on the style with an incredible first touch before scoring a solo goal for Algeria vs Zimbabwe.

The two sides met in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Monday afternoon and Algeria were 1-0 ahead before Mahrez got involved.

West Ham United's Said Benrahma collected the ball in his own half before floating a ball to Mahrez on the opposite wing.

Manchester City winger Mahrez flicked the ball up over his head before darting into the Zimbabwe box, sitting two defenders down and firing past the goalkeeper.

It was a breathtaking counter attack by the away side but not many players in world football could execute it as perfectly as Mahrez.

Fans have reacted to the goal and they think it could be a contender for the Puskas Award come the year's end.

Algeria would fail to hold on to their lead however as Knowledge Musona and Prince Dube both netted to salvage a point for Zimbabwe.

But 'El Khadra' remain top of Group H and undefeated, with 10 points from four games.

It isn't the first beauty Mahrez has netted this season.

Another came in the form of a blistering against Leicester City in the Premier League back in September.

Kevin De Bruyne whipped a corner into the Leicester box which James Justin headed clear, before Mahrez slammed his shot past a helpless Kasper Schmeichel.

Do you think Riyad Mahrez is one of the Premier League's best wingers?
