A compilation titled 'Imagine if social media existed when Cristiano Ronaldo played for Manchester United' has emerged and it's spellbinding stuff.

Ronaldo spent six years at United between 2003 and 2009, becoming one of the world's greatest players under Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Portugal international could turn world class defenders inside out without breaking a sweat while also having an end product.

@TotalCristiano has tweeted a video of 'CR7' in his pomp at Old Trafford and it is must watch. Check it out below.

During his time in England, Ronaldo won three Premier League titles as well as the Champions League in 2008.

Nobody else in world football compared at the time and he also won the first of his five Ballon d'Or awards that year.

It was a slow start for 'CR7' however and he only scored 16 goals in his first three seasons with United.

He was off to the races after that however and bagged 66 times before joining Real Madrid for a then-world record fee of £80 million.

Fans have reacted to the footage and they think if Ronaldo was in his prime now, no other player would create the same amount of buzz.

Ronaldo has been linked with a move back to United for what feels like an eternity, but he's now 36-years-old and plying his trade in Serie A with Juventus.
