Entire Stadium Brilliantly Chant 'Nazis Out' After Player Receives Racist Abuse

Fans took a stand against racism in a German 3.Liga game by chanting 'Nazis out' to defend abused player Leroy Kwadwo.

Kwadwo was playing for Wurzburger Kicker against Preußen Munster on Friday night when a Munster fan begun to abuse him.

However, other fans in the stands refused to join in and begun to chant 'Nazis out' as players from both sides embraced the 23-year-old.

The abuser then proceeded to be ejected from the stadium after other fans alerted security.

Kwadwo is German of Ghanaian descent and made a statement following the game condemning the abuse he received.

He said: "Regrettably, there was an unfortunate incident during our away game at Preußen Munster. I was racially insulted by a single viewer. This just makes me sad.

"I have a different skin colour, but I was born here, in this wonderful country that gave so much and made things possible for me and my family. I am one of you.

"I live here and can live my vocation and passion as a professional player with Wurzburger Kickers.

"Something like yesterday just makes me sad and angry because everyone has to know: Racism doesn't belong in our world.

"We all have the opportunity to tackle it and prevent it from happening."

He then went on to praise the many people who supported him during the abuse, including the fans and players.

"At this point, I would like to expressly thank all of the people in the stadium, those responsible and the players from Munster, and especially my team and the Kickers, who were at my side immediately.

"Your reaction was exemplary - you cannot imagine what it means to me and all the other players like me.

"We must all continue to fight against it, just like you did and nip it in the bud. Thanks for every single message. I hope this will finally end. Thank you for your humanity."

The weekend also saw another high-profile racism issue when Moussa Marega attempted to remove him self from the field on Sunday night.

Porto forward Marega had been abused by Vitoria Guimaraes fans and had to be restrained by teammates as he reacted to the disgusting taunts.

Fans uniting against racism will hopefully help in eradicating the problem all together.
