Dean Henderson Makes Phenomenal Save On First Ever Start As Man Utd Goalkeeper
Dean Henderson pulled off an outrageous save to keep spare Manchester United's blushes against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup this evening.
United ran out 3-0 winners in the end but with the scores at 1-0, Luton created chances and nearly netted an equaliser.
Tom Lockyer rose high and thought he'd managed to sneak his header in at the near post, before Henderson's cat-like reflexes saw him claw the ball away.
Nathan Jones' side rued their missed chance and Henderson looked delighted with his contribution.
Henderson spent last season on loan at Sheffield United and fans think he will offer competition to David de Gea for the number one jersey.
After such a strong debut, social media have reacted and think the 23-year-old deserves to start against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

Dean Henderson's save was at a crucial moment of the game and it effectively changed the result of the game. He knows as a United keeper that those are the saves you have to make to be number 1. Big moment for him.- The Man Utd Way (@TheManUtdWay) September 22, 2020
No surprise but Dean Henderson looked at home in the #mufc goal on his debut. Championship opposition, only EFL Cup etc, but that save from Lockyer's header was exceptional, stretching out his right hand. Great reflexes. De Gea obviously still No 1, but strong competition now.- Henry Winter (@henrywinter) September 22, 2020
A debut clean-sheet for Dean Henderson, a goal & an assist for Mason Greenwood, a much needed goal for Marcus Rashford, & 90 minutes in the tank for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly & Nemanja Matić. Can't go wrong with that.- Ryan. :red_circle: (@Vintage_Utd) September 22, 2020
