Not a bad way to make your professional debut for the club.

Dean Henderson pulled off an outrageous save to keep spare Manchester United's blushes against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup this evening.

United ran out 3-0 winners in the end but with the scores at 1-0, Luton created chances and nearly netted an equaliser.

Tom Lockyer rose high and thought he'd managed to sneak his header in at the near post, before Henderson's cat-like reflexes saw him claw the ball away.

Nathan Jones' side rued their missed chance and Henderson looked delighted with his contribution.

Henderson spent last season on loan at Sheffield United and fans think he will offer competition to David de Gea for the number one jersey.

After such a strong debut, social media have reacted and think the 23-year-old deserves to start against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

Juan Mata opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the first half after Brandon Williams was hauled down by George Moncur.

Henderson denied Lockyer ten minutes from full-time before Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood netted late on to secure victory.
