Erling Haaland has undergone a remarkable body transformation at Borussia Dortmund and put on one stone of 'pure muscle' in this season alone.

The Norwegian has enjoyed another great campaign in front of goal and managed to net 27 times in just 28 Bundesliga appearances.

Haaland arrived in Germany last January and is still just 20-years-old - but you couldn't tell by looking at him. He's opened up to Spanish outlet about his growth in the last year and 'becoming a real man' physically.

"If you look at my body, if you look at my legs, you will see that I have changed a lot. I am completely different. I have become a real man," he told AS.

"I have become faster. That is one of the most important things.

"I have gone from 86 kilos to 94, but it is not a beer belly, it is about gross muscle mass. I take great care of what I eat."

Haaland smashed the Bundesliga speed record after hitting a sprint of 36.04 km/h (22.39 mph) against Stuttgart while on the counter.

In addition, he managed to show incredible strength to hold off Dayot Upamecano and score during the DFB-Pokal final last month.

A host of Europe's top clubs are interested in signing Haaland after seeing Dortmund finish fourth.

Dortmund are expected to fend off interest for Haaland, whose current deal with the German club will expire in 2024.

However, the club could struggle to keep hold of him next summer when his £68m release clause becomes active.

Haaland admitted he was relieved that Dortmund secured Champions League football, saying he is a 'big fan' of the competition.

It was in the Champions League Haaland burst onto the scene while playing for Austrian outfit RB Salzburg.

Haaland told Viaplay Fotball: "Like I have said before, I am a big fan of the Champions League - and I think everyone knows that.

"It was a relief to secure that spot. It was really important.

"I have a contract for a couple of fine years, so I am respectful towards my contract."
