Supporters Express Anger Over Hefty FA Cup Final Ticket Prices

They've got a point, to be fair.

Football supporters have taken to social media to complain about the expensive ticket prices for the FA Cup final.

Manchester United will face off against Chelsea next month at Wembley Stadium but fans have criticised the price they have to pay to go and support their side.

One user who runs a Man United fan account pointed out that he went to Seville, watched the game and stayed the night there for a cheaper price than the tickets on sale for the up-coming cup tie.

Another supporter asked the Football Association why his semi-final ticket cost £65 when in the same category it would cost £115 for the final, highlighting that the 77% increase in rate is not warranted as the overheads would cost largely the same for the final.

Tickets are sold for a price according to the category the seats are in, the cheapest being £45 for a category D ticket and the most expensive being a hefty £145 for a ticket in category A.

Fans, particularly those paying big prices for their commute as well, are frustrated that the prices are not lower and stress that football was formed initially as a working-class sport.

The hope is that the FA will start to listen to supporters and implement the changes needed to make football accessible to everyone.
