Steven Gerrard has given his verdict on the Loris Karius saga, as it appears more and more that the goalkeeper will remain as number one for Liverpool next season.
Karius is polarising figure at Anfield right now, after his mistakes cost Liverpool a Champions League trophy, in a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in Kiev.

And this summer, rumours have circulated linking highly-rated goalies Alisson Becker and Jan Oblak with a move to Liverpool.
But as the weeks go by, it seems more likely that those deals won't happen and Karius will indeed be the main man for Liverpool.
But what does Reds legend and Rangers manager Gerrard think about all this?

He said via the Press Association: "Karius, to be fair to him, was getting stronger and stronger as the season when on."
"I think the key is does Jurgen think he has the mental strength to bounce back? Is he capable of parking that up, moving on and drawing from the experience," he said.
"If Jurgen doesn't think he is capable of bouncing back from that of course he will have to go into the market and get another goalkeeper but Jurgen knows him better than me.
"The easy thing to do is put a cross through his name and bin him but you have to remember he took Liverpool to the Champions League final.
"He is young so we don't want to bin a good goalkeeper because he does have the potential to be very good."
Gerrard's words will be of some reassurance to Karius, and they might just sway opinion on the keeper.
It'll be interesting to see what sort of reaction the 25-year-old gets next season, if he even features between the sticks for the Reds.
